I’m writing this post because it needs to be shared: Buckeye Donuts has a food truck.

If you know me, you know I love Buckeye Donuts. It’s one of our favorite donut shops in Columbus, I love the folks there, and I stop there regularly on my Columbus Food Adventures breakfast tour. So it should be no surprise that I’d be excited about them having a truck.

Their truck menu is pretty simple, but it features all the regular stand-bys you’d expect from them, like gyros, fries, and tater tots. For added fun, there’s the Buckeye Donut Royale Burger, in case you need to get your daily allotment of calories all in one go.

And of course there are donuts.

We saw all the classics: their signature buckeye donut, longjohns, custard-filled, glazed cake donuts of various flavors, and the seasonal specialty.

It’s a smart model, offering both sweet and savory bites to customers.

They don’t have regular hours for the truck, as it focuses on special events. We first caught it at Urban Scrawl back in August. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to see where it’s popping up (and to find the contact info for hiring them for your event!).

You’re welcome, Columbus.
