It’s always exciting to see more good options for coffee and donuts, and The Stack on Lane came together earlier this year as a collaboration between Lil Donut Factory and The Coffee Mess in Hilliard. Their combined baking, frying, roasting, and brewing powers have yielded this shop in a new build close to campus.

Just follow the signs to the glass-walled storefront facing Lane Avenue.

The space isn’t huge – it’s geared a little more toward grab-and-go traffic – but if offers some spots for lingering.

Their coffee menu is pretty extensive, featuring brewed coffee, cold brew, all the espresso drinks, teas, and plenty of seasonal specials.

Be sure to check out the rotating menus on the walls, too.

And then there’s the donuts.

The donuts are created at Lil Donut Factory in Hilliard and brought in daily to The Stack. They rotate through seasonal flavors, but you can count on a good selection of regulars.

They excel at the classic styles (which tend to be my preference), from chocolate-iced cake donuts to custard-filled longjohns to apple fritters to cinnamon rolls to old fashioneds. From everything I’ve tasted, they’re all solidly executed.

On my visits I’ve spied these handy little menu books, too.

If you’re like me and you’re always jonesing for more local coffee and donuts, definitely put these guys on your list!
