Even before their cocktail and wine bar Lawbird opened last fall, Luke and Annie Williams Pierce were already generating buzz. PUNCH magazine featured their German Village bar in their summer 2019 list of the Most Notable New Bars in America. Annie, meanwhile, was the first woman to win the United States Bartenders Guild’s Most Imaginative Bartender competition in 2017. Now their accolades and years of working in some of the city’s best cocktail bars and restaurants has culminated in Lawbird, a cocktail and wine bar with a fun and carefully curated menu. The duo have created a destination set on being “light, bright, and funky” and also “comfortable, approachable, and enjoyable.”
