We’ve long been fans of One Line Coffee, loving their original Short North shop and their newer one inside the Huntington Center on Capitol Square. We’ve even had the opportunity to visit their roastery in Heath, Ohio.

So of course we’re excited to see them add another retail front! They recently opened a bright corner space in the River & Rich development in Franklinton, in the same building as Makers Social, ROY G BIV Gallery, and the forthcoming Yellow Brick Pizza.

This new space has a different feel from the wooden-floored, brick-walled Short North shop. This one features floor-to-ceiling windows, concrete flooring, a giant octagonal counter in the center, tables spread throughout the space.

The wall menu lists all the regular favorites, from their pour overs to espresso drinks, various cold brews, flavored lattes, and more.

What’s different about this location is that it features a full kitchen, so in addition to snacks from local bakeries, they offer sandwiches, soups, and salads.

Retail shelves offer coffee beans and brewing equipment.

We stopped by a few days after opening for a cappuccino and hot chocolates – all excellent.

When you walk in the door, it may take a minute to familiarize yourself with the layout. Follow the counter down the left side to order, then circle your way back around to the front to pick up drinks.

This location is also open longer hours, and offers wine and Ohio beers on tap. They’ve wisely built out the space to transition into a bar later in the day.

We’re very happy to see One Line expanding, and to see a full service coffee shop in Franklinton! It’s a great complement to the artist studios and galleries, the breweries and restaurants in the neighborhood. It features plenty of seating for hanging out and working, and would be a great spot for drinks during Franklinton Fridays, and any other night!
