If you’re exploring Lakeside or Marblehead, or need a hearty meal before you hop the Kelleys Island Ferry, Latitude Cafe is one the best breakfasts you can find in the area! We discovered over a weekend exploring the Lake Erie Shores & Islands, and it fueled us up before a day Kelleys Island.
The one-room cafe is cozy and bustling.
The menu covers all the hits: eggs benedicts, crepes, waffles, hotcakes, French toast, breakfast burritos, omelets, biscuits and gravy.
The biscuits are generously covered with a chunky and well-seasoned gravy.
They whip up a variety of eggs benedicts (although the eggs are fried rather than poached).
The breakfast burrito with chorizo is a sure-fire hit.
And I barely got a picture of Will’s crepes before he polished them off!
Latitude Cafe seems like the place that’s populated with both locals and tourists, which is always a great sign! Service was friendly and quick, and the meal proved a perfect start to a day exploring Kelleys Island and the surrounding region.
