Look, my love of fried chicken is well documented. I love it in all forms – fried chicken dinners, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken wings – and in all styles, from classic Southern fried chicken to Nashville-style to regional favorites like Serbian-inspired Barberton fried chicken.

So I’m in luck: Bob Evans just introduced a taste of Nashville with its new Dang Hot Chicken! We’ve certainly gotten familiar with Nashville hot chicken over recent years, and Bob Evans’ new offerings really hold their own in terms of heat and flavor.

The Dang Hot Chicken is available as a dinner or a sandwich at the restaurant, or Family Meal to Go if you want an easy option for dinner at home! The family meal is enough food to feed six people.

The dinner layers two hand-breaded fried chicken breasts dowsed generously with Dang Hot Sauce and ranch on griddled brioche bread, plus pickles, your choice of two sides, and dinner rolls. It’s a big meal that will certainly fill you up and leave you with leftovers.

The sandwich is no less filling! It features a trio of chicken tenders with Dang Hot Sauce, a big drizzle of ranch, and crispy coleslaw between griddled brioche bread, topped with pickles and served with a side of fries.

The Dang Hot Sauce packs a serious kick, and I just love the combination of zesty and savory chicken with tangy and creamy coleslaw and pickles.

And if you’re grabbing dinner at Bob Evans, you may as well start with some chili cheese fries…
