Delight in the Taste of Summer with Bob Evans’ Seasonal Fresh Berry Dishes

The arrival of summer means all sorts of great flavors: refreshing cold brew coffee, luscious seasonal produce, and fresh berries! And Bob Evans is getting into the game with their Fresh Berry Meals, a collection of colorful breakfast dishes, heaping salads, and rich desserts using the best summer has to offer.

First things first: I love that summer is cold brew season. All year-round Bob Evans offers a Sweet Cream Cold Brew Coffee that provides a refreshing kick. If coffee’s not your jam, try the Strawberry Citrus Splash with orange juice and strawberry puree.

Their Fresh Berry breakfasts include the Fresh Berry Farmer’s Choice, which features a choice of buttermilk hotcakes or brioche French toast topped with vine-ripened strawberries, plus a pair of eggs, choice of breakfast meat, and your pick of hash browns, home fries, or fresh-cut fruit.

They’re also dishing up orders of Fresh Berry Hotcakes or Fresh Berry French Toast, available with a side of bacon, sausage, or ham.

I’m a French toast guy, so when I ordered my Fresh Berry Farmer’s Choice, I automatically went for the duo of thick-cut brioche bread. They’re topped with fresh strawberries, a house-made strawberry sauce, powdered sugar, butter, and whipped cream.

I appreciated getting to add a little savory bite to my breakfast – a little salty to go with the sweet. So it was a plate of over easy eggs, bacon, and hash browns for me!

The French toast slices are dense and custardy, with a nice little pile of strawberries doused in the sauce. I enjoyed getting to drizzle on some maple syrup and scoop up bites with whipped cream.
