Biscuits By Daddy-O Brings Gluten Free Goodness to King-Lincoln

August 30, 2023

If you love biscuits, now you can follow the neon sign to “Hot Biscuits” in King-Lincoln Bronzeville to Biscuits by Daddy-O, a small carryout serving gluten free biscuits, sandwiches, and other treats!

Biscuits By Daddy-O started during the pandemic, selling gluten free biscuit mix, pizza dough mix, and other goodies online.

The storefront offers sweet and savory biscuits, mini pizzas at lunch, coffee, boxed mixes, and rotating specials to go.

The morning I visited I spied breakfast biscuits, a fried chicken biscuit…

…plain biscuits, Nutella-topped, everything biscuits…

…blueberry biscuits, honey butter biscuits…

…even little servings of biscuits and gravy.

They’ll package your biscuits up in cute little bags to go!

You can grab gluten free biscuit and pizza dough mixes, and fry batter.

Even though I don’t specifically eat gluten free, I recognize this is a great new option for anyone who has Celiac disease or prefers gluten free dining. The biscuits were a little crumbly, but they had a great flavor.

I liked the chicken biscuit (with a gluten free breading, of course!).

The Nutella biscuits were generously coated.

And the blueberry biscuit was nice and moist.

Biscuits By Daddy-O is currently open Tuesday-Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
