Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace Opens Near OSU’s Campus

November 13, 2024

We’re always happy to have more Dirty Frank’s in our lives! The hot dog joint just opened their newest location on North High Street, bringing all their signature dogs and tots and Frostop root beer to OSU’s campus.

Dirty Frank’s takes over a storefront that’s turned over a couple times over recent years; most recently it was a location of Poke Bros.

Now the space is decked out in Dirty Frank’s fashion: bright yellows and soft oranges, canine-themed knickknacks on the shelves, Thom Lessner’s cartoonish artwork filling the walls. There’s a bar up front, a dining room in the back, and a small kiosk near the front door for ordering meals to go.

Those familiar with Dirty Frank’s will know the menu already; it’s the same as their original downtown location.

So you’ll find all your favorites, like the Chili Dog and the Classy Lady with cheese sauce and crushed chips.

I can never resist the Ohioana with a spicy corn relish and celery salt.

Or the classic Chicago dog.

Lots of favorite sides, too, from mac and cheese to fries to tots to onion rings – or these mac and cheese bites.

Dirty Frank’s also features a full bar. I always love getting Frostop root beer on tap.

It’s always fun getting the seasonal dogs, too. This time of year it’s the Franksgiving dog with mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and a side of cranberry sauce.

Currently Dirty Frank’s is open dinner hours Wednesdays through Sundays, although lunch hours are coming soon.
