Blackened Coffee Co. Serves Breakfast and Coffee to Ace of Cups

April 30, 2025

As if the combination of Ace of Cups bar and music venue + Ray Ray’s Hog Pit wasn’t good enough, the Old North outpost just got better with the addition of Blackened Coffee Co., a coffee and breakfast pop-up operating Wednesdays to Sundays.

Blackened Coffee Co. is accessible off the back patio, with a big ordering window that looks into the shop.

Their menu features drip coffee, cold brew, espresso, specialty drinks, plus a small plant-based breakfast menu of sandwiches and burritos.

I made a quick stop for coffee this week, lingering on the patio for a cortado. Just like its plant-based food menu, Blackened Coffee Co. uses a variety of plant-based milks as well. I chose oat milk.

I also tasted an iced version of the All Black and Blue, which mixes espresso, milk, and a house-made blueberry muffin syrup. I love blueberries, so this one hit home – the right balance of tart and sweet.

There’s easy parking in the lot next to the building, so you can quickly grab coffee to go, or enjoy the plentiful indoor and outdoor spaces while you sip coffee or have breakfast.

Blackened Coffee Co. is currently open Wednesdays through Sundays, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
