Mochinut Lands in Grandview with Donuts, Korean Hot Dogs, and Tea

May 20, 2025

Columbus, we have a new option for mochi donuts, Korean hot dogs, and other treats: Mochinut in Grandview! The first Columbus location of this California-based chain opened recently on Fifth Avenue (across from the amazing Taj on Fifth!).

Similar to other chains like Mochi Ring, Mochinut specializes in mochi donuts, made with a spongy rice flour that results in fun and airy confections.

The donuts are shaped into eight segments, which makes for easy sharing.

They rotate through a variety of flavors every week, and offer monthly or seasonal specials as well, so you’ll always find new flavors to try.

They get really creative with the flavors, like these Cookie Monster donuts!

On our last visit we sampled everything from blueberry to cinnamon sugar, maple bacon to red velvet, cookies and cream to Trix.

To complement the sweet bites, Mochinut also serves made-to-order Korean hot dogs. These are hot dogs or mozzarella served on a stick like corn dogs. You can get plain or toppings like a ramen crunch, diced potatoes, and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.

For the interior, you can choose either a hot dog, mozzarella, or a combination of both, which I loved.

Mochinut also serves a variety of milk teas, matcha, refreshers, and other beverages. They’re made to order, then conveniently canned up.

All of the packaging is colorful and made-ready for Instagram!

Mochinut is open Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
