Losanti Steakhouse Debuts in Franklinton

March 2, 2026

Cincinnati-based Losanti Steakhouse debuted a Columbus location this past weekend, in the former Taft’s Brewporium space in Franklinton! This is the second location for Losanti, which is owned by the Crown Restaurant Group in Cincinnati.

The old brewpub space has been given a makeover in line with a classic steakhouse: low booths, chandeliers, small lamps on the tables. Like the Taft’s layout, the bar sits prominently in the center of the space.

We were invited for a little preview of the restaurant with a limited menu. Here’s what we tried!

We started with an Old Fashioned and the Bleu dirty martini, both very classic versions of the cocktails.

We’re always a fan of burrata; this version was layered on top of Asian pears and toasted almonds.

The little gem salad had great flavor, although it was very heavily dressed.

They brought us some house focaccia, too. It’s a nice version, although it made us miss the focaccia at Speck Italian Eatery!

For our entrees, we tried the chicken parmigiana, which is a bone-in Amish chicken with fresh mozzarella and roasted tomato sauce.

I really dug the Losanti burger and fries. It’s a hefty burger!

We opened for the elote-style roasted corn as our side.

This was nicely done, and very generously portioned.

For dessert we had the skillet brownie with a scoop of ice cream.

Losanti’s space is pretty large; it’d be good for hosting a private party or a big group.

Losanti Steakhouse is open Wednesday to Sunday from 4-10 p.m.
