Clutch Handheld Serves Breakfast Sandos To-Go in SoHud

November 16, 2023

UPDATE January 2026: Clutch Handhelds has returned to regular service.

I love a good breakfast sandwich, as I can attest from my lists of The 12 Best, Most Glorious Breakfast Sandwiches in Columbus and 13 More Glorious Breakfast Sandwiches in Columbus. So my curiosity was piqued when a little trailer called Clutch Handheld Breakfast set up shop on a familiar corner in SoHud.

Clutch is an unassuming white trailer parked in the lot on the southwest corner of Summit and Hudson, in front of the SoHud mural. They’re typically open Thursdays-Saturdays, with a preference for online orders (although you can walk up, scan the QR code, and order that way, too).

Their menu usually spans 4-6 items. The signature is the chorizo muffin with a chorizo patty, hash browns, tomato, and honey butter.

The French toast sando is another favorite: slices of French toast layered with sweet cream cheese, whipped topping, and sliced strawberries.

The breakfast cheesesteak takes the Philly favorite and adds scrambled eggs to the shaved steak and onions on French bread.

This isn’t the best photo, but the flavors were still spot-on with this special sandwich that layered egg and cheese.

Find Clutch Handheld Breakfast at 2519 Summit St. (the corner of Summit and Hudson) in the lot in front of the SoHud mural.

They’re currently open Thursday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Keep an eye on their social media for current hours.
