Food & Attractions

Big Muskie's Bucket: you can see the monstrous bucket used to excavate the land that is now The Wilds. You can see the bucket in Miners Memorial Park in McConnellsville.

Donald's Donuts: a Zanesville staple since 1960, Donald's attracts donut fans from all over the state

Putnam Hill Park: elevated city park in Zanesville that gives you a good view of the river and the Y Bridge

Tom's Ice Cream Bowl: another Zanesville staple that hasn't changed much since it first opened in 1948. Visit Tom's for heaping ice cream sundaes, burgers and sandwiches, roasted nuts.

The Wilds: located about 30 southeast in Cumberland, The Wilds is operated by the Columbus Zoo and features more than 9000 acres of open safari and conservation land (formerly strip mining territory) for animals. Guests can book open-top bus tours of the park and even book overnight stays in a yurt.

The Y Bridge: a unique historic structure that spans the Muskingum River. One of the only bridges in the world that you can cross and still be on the same side of the river.
