Over the past couple weeks I’ve been posting a lot about Cleveland. For those who didn’t catch it, I was invited up there by Positively Cleveland to tour the city. They put us up at a hotel downtown and showcased Cleveland’s restaurants, neighborhoods, attractions, museums, and shops. Most of our itinerary was guided by Clevelanders using the hashtag #HappyinCLE over social media. I walked away with a new appreciation for the city, as well as a long list of things to do the next time we return.
The trip included five bloggers total. I represented Columbus, while the bloggers Adventure Mom and Food Hussy came from Cincinnati, and The Steel Trap and 30 Something Therapy arrived from Pittsburgh. Check out their blogs for their posts and photos from the trip.
Here’s an overview of the blog posts I wrote about the trip:
Part 1 – ice cream at Sweet Moses, the Weapons of Mass Creation fest, beers at XYZ the Tavern, and coffee at Erie Island Coffee Co.
Part 2 – the Christmas Story house, West Side Market, and Ohio City urban farm
Part 3 – touring Lake View Cemetery, the Gordon Square farmers market, and the Cleveland Museum of Art
Part 4 – lunch at Tommy’s Restaurant in Coventry, shopping at Big Fun toy store, an evening stroll downtown, plus a peek at Great Lakes Brewing Co.
Stand-alone meals:
Lucky’s Cafe – Saturday breakfast at the busy Tremont staple
Noodlecat & The Greenhouse Tavern – the Mrs. and I had two dinners downtown Saturday night
BonBon Pastry & Cafe – Sunday morning brunch with the group at a newer spot in Ohio City
The Flying Fig – a second Sunday brunch in Ohio City with just the Mrs. and I
A special thanks to April, Corinne, and Lexi from Positively Cleveland for organizing the trip and showing us the city!
