Three To Try: Breakfast on the Patio

The weather is looking great this weekend, so my editor at Columbus Alive asked me to write a short round-up about patios to explore. It includes some great spots that serve brunch – Condado Tacos, El Arepazo, La Chatelaine – and that had me thinking about three other patios you might visit for breakfast this weekend.

1. The Tavern – The Tavern’s patio is a hidden gem, in my mind. It’s a big space, ideal for enjoying their cocktails, beer, and their small-but-mighty weekend brunch menu.

2. Milestone 229 – You’ve got to hand it to them: Milestone 229 has a patio with some of the best views in the city. The Scioto Mile, bridges, riverfront, city skyline, the Bicentennial Park fountains – that’s your view as you brunch.

3. Northstar Cafe – All three Northstar locations have been around long enough to become old stand-bys, and the patios at the Short North, Beechwold, and Easton are great spots for enjoying those Cloud 9 pancakes or that awesome breakfast burrito.
