Three To Try: Breakfast Tacos

November 4, 2016

Writing about Condado’s brunch this week had me thinking about breakfast tacos, so here we are. And remember: when in doubt, always add chorizo.

1. Philco Bar + Diner – I don’t get to Philco often enough, but I love this retro diner in Short North. Their fried egg tacos come with a colorful array of black beans, salsa, cheddar, and sour cream.

2. Hamptons on King – We didn’t have the best customer service experience when we went for brunch at Hampton’s, but the breakfast tacos (and most of the brunch items) were very well crafted. Their breakfast tacos feature chorizo, cheese, pico de gallo, and a side of hash browns.

3. Katalina’s – Ah, Katalina’s. The old favorite. The breakfast tacos there are loaded with a house-made chorizo, eggs, tomatillo, avocado, queso fresco, pico de gallo, and more. Bonus points that they offer a veggie sausage in place of the chorizo!
