Three To Try: And A Healthy New Year!

January 6, 2017

Happy New Year!

Many of us are being very health-conscious in the New Year, and one easy way to encourage those healthy habits is hitting up one of Columbus’ many juice bars! In addition to offering fresh-squeezed juices, many of them serve up snacks with the same wholesome focus.

1. Alchemy Juice Bar + Cafe – Alchemy is set up on Parsons Avenue next to the newer Crest location. They serve a huge range of juices and smoothies, topped with a selection of toasts, salads, and bowls. They just launched a partnership with Fusian to benefit Local Matters: Alchemy is serving a Fusian-themed smoothie while Fusian offers an Alchemy-inspired superfood roll. $1 from each item sold goes to Local Matters.

2. Zest Juice Co. – Zest creates colorful juices with fun names like Sherlock, The Lush, and Beets By Zest. They also do smoothies, bowls, and snacks, plus a small selection of toasts. They’ve grown to four locations already: Dublin, Grandview, Short North, and Easton. I recently visited their Easton outpost while exploring area brunches.

3. Native Cold Pressed – Native has two locations, in Short North and Bexley, and just announced a third in German Village (next to the upcoming Fox in the Snow!). They offer bottled cold pressed juices, snacks, smoothies, and bowls. Almost every month owners do a yoga brunch at The Kitchen, too!
