There’s a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world – here’s the latest!

  • Bottle shop Crafted Drafts opened their second location this week, at 4485 Cemetery Rd. in Hilliard. This joins their existing location in Gahanna.
  • Sweet Carrot opens their second location at 2050 Polaris Pkwy. on Tuesday, Feb. 13
  • Whit’s Frozen Custard in Clintonville re-opens for the season tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 10.
  • Kai’s Crab Boil opened last week at 839 Bethel Rd. They serve up big seafood boils with lobster, shrimp, crab, mussels, and more.
  • Tomatillos Authentic Mexican soft opens at 2285 W. Dublin-Granville Rd. this week, featuring tacos, margaritas, and Diamonds Ice Cream.
  • This Saturday, Feb. 10, Freedom a la Cart hosts their annual Eat Up! Columbus dinner, featuring a five-course menu created by Columbus chefs, all raising money to fight human trafficking. UPDATE: the event is sold out, but the link includes a number you can call/text to be added to the wait list.
  • The Winking Lizard at Crosswoods is slated to close within the next week.
  • Souper Heroes hosts their next soup night at Kindred Beer on Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 6-8 p.m. You can volunteer to make a soup or visit to enjoy dinner and make a donation to Gahanna Residents in Need.
  • Darista Dips hosts their Like a Girl, Like a Boss Dessert Hummus launch party this Monday, Feb. 12 at the Easton Whole Foods.
  • Speckled Hen Market opened at 667 High St. in Old Worthington this week.
  • Ill Mannered Brewing in Powell hosts a Valentine’s Day cheesecake and beer pairing with The Cheesecake Girl.
  • Dan the Baker announced he will start bread delivery to the lower 48 U.S. states this week. Keep an eye on his social media for the available breads. They’ll be posted on Fridays, orders will close on Sunday, then ship on Wednesdays.
