There’s a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world – here’s the latest!
- The upcoming Olentangy River Brewing Company announced their location yesterday: 303 Green Meadows Dr. S. in Lewis Center. Construction will begin in a couple weeks.
- The Turkish Food Festival is this Sunday, Mar. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Put on by the Turkish American Society of Ohio, the family friendly event features more than 45 different dishes to sample.
- Slow Food Columbus launches their first Supper Club on Sunday, Mar. 11. Registered guests bring favorite dishes to share.
- Chipotle closed their burger concept, Tasty Made, in Lancaster this week. The restaurant only opened one location; a second proposed one in Pickerington was instead turned into a Chipotle.
- The All Peoples Fresh Market opens at 946 Parsons Ave. on Thursday, Mar. 8.
- The Rustic Barrel has closed at 8665 Sancus Blvd.
- Wolf’s Ridge Brewing hosts Ladies Who Brunch, a fundraiser for International Women’s Day, on Thursday, Mar. 8 from 3-11 p.m. The event features the release of a beer brewed by women; proceeds from the sales benefit the Columbus YWCA.
- Genuwine’s Vintage Dining (oh, I just got the name) opened earlier this week at 201 Clint Dr. in Pickerington.
- Trek Brewing Company opened in at 1486 Granville Rd. in Newark this week.
- Land-Grant Brewing releases the newest beer in their Space Grant series, a black IPA called Binary Star.
- Cameron Mitchell Restaurants announced they are donating $2.5 million to Columbus State Community College’s new facility for their Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts program.
