Eric Bean is the owner and brewmaster of Columbus Brewing Company, one of the city’s longest running breweries. Open since 1988, the brewery has made a name for itself nationally for beers like their Bodhi and Creeper imperial IPAs, Melt stout, Uncle Rusty imperial red ale, and other brews. Bean, along with his wife Beth, has been part of brewery ownership since 2005, assuming full ownership in 2011. Despite CBC’s prevalence amongst the city’s breweries, they didn’t have a taproom to call their own until fall of 2019. Now avid beer-drinkers have a destination, tucked in light industrial area on the west side, to sample more than 20 beers on tap at any given time.
