5 Restaurants to Try This Month: June 2022

June 1, 2022

Want to support local restaurants? Curious about new openings or under-the-radar finds? Here are five restaurants I’m suggesting you try this month!

1. Do2 Sabores

Do2 Sabores embodies the strip mall find. It sits on the end of an L-shaped strip on the eastern border of Worthington, right off 161. The two-room eatery includes a bar and small dining room. We’ve loved everything we’ve tried there, from the margaritas to the house-made salsa, the tacos, sopes, enchiladas, camarones a la diabla.

2. Columbus Brewing Company

Columbus Brewing Company already ranks as one of the city’s top breweries, but they’ve added a wonderful food truck that pumps out Detroit-style pizzas, wings, mozzarella sticks, sandwiches. It all pairs perfectly with their diverse roster of lagers, IPAs, sours, stouts, and everything in-between.

3. Worthington Tavern

The Worthington Tavern makes its debut on June 2 in Old Worthington, and it’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood. It features an expert cocktail menu, great beer and wine selection, and a mix of upscale pub fare like oysters, smoked wings, burgers, pastas, crispy chicken sandwiches.

4. Huong Vietnamese Restaurant

Even with the warmer weather, we’ve been craving pho recently, and Huong Vietnamese on Morse Road is still one of our favorite picks. Their pho is wonderfully complex, and you can’t beat the banh mi, the banh xeo (a savory pork and shrimp crepe), spring and summer rolls, Vietnamese coffee.

5. Bake Me Happy

You have two options for enjoying the gluten free goodness that is Bake Me Happy: at their original Merion Village shop and at their stall in North Market Bridge Park. They excel at GF versions of all your favorite childhood treats: cookies, cream-filled sponge cakes, muffins, scones, toaster pastries, pies.
