There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest:

  • It’s the end of an era around campus! Tommy’s Pizza announced on their site that their shop at 174 W. Lane Ave. closes today after 45 years in business. Their Dublin and Upper Arlington shops remain open.
  • A new breakfast-themed food truck called Bite Me Breakfast debuts tomorrow – Saturday, June 15 – at 9 a.m. It’ll be parked at Oakland Nurseries at 1156 Oakland Park Ave.
  • A new Yemeni coffee shop call Qahwah House opens today at 189 E. Main St. The chain is based out of Dearborn, Michigan, and has locations in several states. This seems to be the first in Ohio.
  • This week Hai Poke announced that their truck will park at Land-Grant’s new Extension bar. Hai Poke had operated a brick and mortar in the Short North that it closed a couple years ago, before featuring its truck and a stall at North Market Bridge Park.
  • Local Cantina has closed its Short North location at 600 N. High St.
  • Three Bites Bakery announced that its final day at its King-Lincoln location is Sunday, June 23. They’re in the process of moving to Broad and High streets, where they’ll join up with Little Cat boba.
  • Chef Alana Shock is hosting her next pop-up dinner on Monday, June 17 at Harvest Bar + Kitchen in Clintonville.
