At long last, Rose Dough Donuts is opening its very own storefront! For years they’ve been operating out of 1400 Food Lab, offering pick-up orders while appearing at select local farmers markets. And now they’ve come home to their own space on North High Street, just south of North Broadway in the new development that includes the excellent Food Street.
There’s street parking along High Street, but their building also has a lot in the back!
The shop includes their full kitchen, display cases full of donuts, a handful of seats, and a shelf for merch.

On one wall is a digital display that lists the current flavors.
I love the merch stand with T-shirts, tote bags, and other goodies.
Rose Dough Donuts specializes in Old Fashioneds, brioche donuts, and crullers.
I think they make some pretty great donuts all-around, but I’m completely sold on their crullers. Not many local donut shops do them because they’re work-intensive, but the structure and the flavors here are just beautiful.
Rose Dough is also unique in their occasional savory flavors of donuts. Recent entries have included Green Goddess, Pickle Lemonade, and Tomato Basil.
I’m sure they’re going to be busy during their initial weeks, but I think they are more than worth the effort! I’m already jonesing for more of those crullers.
Rose Dough Donuts’ grand opening is August 23 and 24! Keep an eye on their social media for regular hours.
