December 4, 2025

Happy Friday! Here’s the latest Columbus restaurant news:

  • At last! Creole Kitchen has completed its move to its new home at 795 E. Long St. in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood. Chef Henry Butcher’s long-time New Orleans-style eatery reopened this week after being closed since spring of 2024. It moved from its original location on Mount Vernon Avenue.
  • The Port of Peri Peri, a chain featuring halal Portuguese grilled chicken, will soft open its first Columbus location at 2540 Bethel Rd. on Saturday, Dec. 6.
  • 3 Brothers Diner in Grove City also announced that its second location will open on Monday, Dec. 8. Its new spot sits at 345 W. Olentangy St. in Powell.
  • A new coffee shop called Grumpy’s Coffee Garage opened this week in a renovated garage at 5210 Groveport Rd. in Obetz. That location was once home to Grumpy’s motorcycle shop.
  • The Clutch Handhelds food truck has started teasing a possible reopening. The truck, which serves a mix of sweet and savory breakfast sandwiches, seems to be reappearing at the corner of Hudson and Summit in SoHud.
  • Columbus’ first woman-owned rye whiskey distillery, Archer Eland, is launching this week! They’re celebrating with a brand launch at Service Bar in the Short North on Saturday, Dec. 6. They’ve crafted four different rye whiskeys, which are now available in Ohio and through Middle West Spirits’ website.
