
Happy Friday! Here’s the latest Columbus restaurant news:
- The new version of the Bexley Coffee Co. at 492 N. Cassady Rd. soft opened this week! New owners took over earlier this year after the previous iteration closed up while attempting a sale of the business. The space and menus have been revamped to include coffee and baked goods.
- The Filipino coffee shop Koffee Paradise, which just opened its second store in Linworth, announced they’re adding a third shop soon, this one coming to 1333 N. High St. near campus.
- The owners of the Kurdish cafe Silav Cafe & Grill downtown announced that they will be closing after this Friday, July 31. Located at 330 S. High St., the cafe opened in mid-2024.
- Mikey’s Late Night Slice is getting ready to debut their newest shop, this one at 1312 Grandview Ave. in Grandview, on Friday, July 31.
- Cobra in the Brewery District was named best U.S. restaurant bar in the country at the Spirited Awards competition last week.
- A new coffee shop, bookstore, and wine bar called The Novel Sip is coming to New Albany next year.
- The former CJ’s Soul Food space near Polaris won’t stay empty for long! Last week a new restaurant called L&S Kitchen & Lounge announced that they’ll be opening sometime in August at the storefront at 1262 E. Powell Rd.
- Columbus Food Adventures’ next Taste Of dinner is coming up on August 19, and it features the fine folks from Calero’s Bar & Grill!
- And Columbus is potentially getting a new Trader Joe’s! Plans were submitted for a third location for 2109 Ikea Way near Polaris.
