Friday Food Bites: Bombay House opens, Cilantro taking over Bodega, Domo joins Dublin

October 1, 2026

Here’s your weekly roundup of Columbus restaurant news, including new openings, closings, and menu updates!

  • The upscale Indian restaurant Bombay House opens on Friday, Oct. 2 at 496 Polaris Pkwy. in Westerville. The family-run spot features beautiful decor and an expansive menu; it takes over the space vacated by Winking Lizard a few years ago.
  • The owners of Cilantro Latin Fusion announced that they’ve purchased Bodega in the Short North and will convert it into a new concept in the coming months. Cilantro has been doing a pop-up in Bodega for some time, serving up arepas, empanadas, and more. This marks the end of an era for Bodega, which first opened in 2005. I have fond memories of heading there to explore their huge beer selection!
  • The new Dublin location of Domo Sushi Kitchen & Bar has opened at 3 N. High St. in Historic Dublin. The owners of Domo took over the former Mr. Sushi space.
  • The next Clintonville Asian Night Market is this Friday evening, Oct. 2, at 595 E. Weber Rd. in Clintonville. Last month’s edition was pretty popular, so plan ahead if you go.
  • Sitara Fine Indian Cuisine is soft opening this Friday, Oct. 2 at 427 E. Main St. downtown. It replaces Indian Oven, which recently closed up to move to Delaware.
  • Reminder that this is the last weekend for Outerbelt Brewing in Carroll, which is slated to close on Oct. 5.
  • A new burger spot called TRIO Burger is coming soon to 1329 Cameron Ave. in Lewis Center. It takes the place of a short-lived location of Flamin’ Feathers. TRIO hasn’t announced an opening date yet.
  • Starting this month, Soul at The Joseph is launching a new program called Art in Spirits, a collaborative cocktail collection created by Soul’s bartending team alongside three local artists: Gay Fad Studios, Joseph Leonard, and Joss Ford. Over the next couple they’ll offer special artists talks with each of the featured artists.
  • The folks behind Fronteras Tacos Tequila and Wine will expand with a new location in the old Rail Craft Kitchen & Bar space, at 1064 Dublin Rd. in Grandview.
  • Columbus Food Adventures’ latest Taste Of dinner features a Korean feast with Johae Chong of Don Pocha on Oct. 14.
