Jennings Java Debuts Their First Full Service Coffee Shop in Merion Village

October 24, 2024

At long last, Jennings Java Coffee Roasters has a full-service coffee shop to call their own! After operating first as a roastery and carryout location in the Brewery District, Jennings began building out their own space in the original Bake Me Happy storefront in Merion Village, first selling whole beans and bottled and draft cold brews out the back, before finally opening their own space.

They’ve transformed the corner shop into a bright and spacious hangout, with soft greens, small plants, and white subway tile throughout.

The shop features a full espresso bar, brewed coffee, tea, chai, and snacks like bagels and local baked goods. Tucked into one corner is their roaster.

For my first visit, I tasted a rich cubano: espresso and (usually) turbinado sugar.

And I snagged a vanilla latte to go.

As expected, you can pick up bags of whole bean coffee to go. There’s also a rack with Jennings Java swag.

Jennings Java’s first official day is Sunday, Oct. 27!

The coffee shop is open Tuesday-Sunday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. They’re closed Mondays.
