Stauf’s is one of the OGs of Columbus coffee. For decades they’ve been roasting, supplying beans to coffee shops and restaurants, operating their own shops, and training baristas and coffee roasters all across the city.
They’ve been slowly expanding, too, converting their Cup O’ Joe in German Village into a Stauf’s and adding a location in North Market. A couple months back they opened their newest spot inside the Idea Foundry in Franklinton.
The bright space is located to the left of the Idea Foundry’s front doors.
There are rows of small tables throughout the space…
and longer counters with stools along the windows.
Like their other shops, they offer snacks like scones, muffins, cookies, and more.
Not to mention Sammy’s Bagels!
It’s a great place to grab a cup of coffee, have a meeting, or study for a while. On my stop there I grabbed an everything bagel and an espresso – fuel for writing for a couple hours.

If you’re looking for a new coffee spot west of the river, be sure to check them out! It’s a nice addition to the growing neighborhood.
And you can use it as an excuse to get to know the Idea Foundry!
