There’s a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world – here’s the latest!
- Easter is this Sunday! If you haven’t made brunch plans for the season, check out my 13 brunch suggestions.
- Da Levee announced they will close on Sunday, Apr. 1 and undergo renovations into a new concept. Owner Justin Boehme said the new concept will feature cocktails, local drafts, bar games, a small market, and pop-up kitchens. The Da Levee in Gahanna remains open.
- Preston’s Burgers announced they will finish their pop-up at Three Sheets bar on Apr. 8 and move to Woodland’s Backyard in Grandview.
- Worthington Libraries hosts their annual Edible Books Contest this Tuesday, Apr. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at the Northwest Library.
- Koko Tea Salon & Bakery announced they will be closing their location in downtown Gahanna next month and opening at Easton instead. The tea salon also has a location in the Seneca building on East Broad Street downtown.
- A new Lebanese restaurant called Mr. Hummus Grill has opened at 1450 Bethel Rd. Mr. Hummus Grill had previously operated as a food truck.
- The Brewed Leaf tea house has opened at 809 Bethel Rd.
- 1400 Food Lab launches their new Sunday Suppers on Sunday, Apr. 8. The suppers will feature big, communal meals created by one of the Food Lab makers. The first event features chef Aaron Mercier.
- 39 Below FroYo in Olde Towne East opens for the season on Monday, Apr. 2.
- Si Senor announced they’ll be opening a new fast casual Peruvian spot called Criollo in the old Carvery space at 51 E. Gay St.
- Noble Cut Distillery has launch party on Saturday, Mar. 31 at McClellen’s Pub at 6694 Sancus Blvd. in Dublin. They’ll be releasing their apple and dark cherry flavored whiskeys.
- The new cocktail bar Monarch will open in the former Level space, 700 N. High St., this weekend.
- The organic juice bar Clean Juice announced a location opening at Polaris in May.
- Cleveland-based Two Bucks bar will open a location today at 195 Chittenden Ave., former home to Rooks Tavern.
