There’s a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world – here’s the latest!

  • Nocterra Brewing holds its grand opening starting at noon tomorrow – Saturday, Feb. 2. The new brewery and taproom is located at 41 Depot St. in Powell; read my column about the brewery in this week’s Columbus Alive!
  • Tomorrow – Saturday, Feb. 2 – Jeni’s Ice Creams is celebrating National Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. Their shops will open at 9 a.m., and from 9 to noon all sales support She Should Run, an organization helping women run for public office.
  • A new cocktail bar, Duecento, opens this weekend at 200 E. Fourth St. in Italian Village.
  • Leone’s Pizza, which closed recently in Salem Village, will open up running the kitchen today at The Osteria in Camelot Cellars, serving an expanded menu of salads, pastas, and pizzas.
  • Nostalgia Brewing holds its grand opening this Saturday, Feb. 2, at 81 Mill St. in Gahanna, former site of Pigskin Brewing.
  • Mashita Noodles will begin running a regular pop-up Wednesdays-Fridays (5-10 p.m.) at Oddfellows Liquor bar starting Feb. 6.
  • Swenson’s is set to open their second central Ohio location on Monday, Feb. 4 at 2012 Ikea Way at Polaris. A third was just approved for Hilliard.
  • Cameron Mitchell’s forthcoming Budd Dairy Food Hall announced its first two tenants: Darista and Borgata Pizza Cafe.
  • Tatohead’s Public House announced they will be closing sometime in June.
  • The annual Hot Mikey’s Takeover, a collaboration pizza between Mikey’s and Hot Chicken Takeover, returns Feb. 11-17. You can purchase tickets to the Feb. 9 launch party here.
  • Dave’s Cosmic Subs from northeast Ohio announced they will open their first Columbus location at 1764 N. High St. across from campus.
  • Porter’s Coffee House & Bakery will be opening soon at 194 W. Church St. in Pickerington.
  • Bleu & Fig will host a series of seven concerts with Doc Robinson from Feb. 14-17. Each concert will be paired with heavy hors d’oeuvres. Tickets can be purchased here.
