There’s a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world – here’s the latest!

  • Angela Petro, owner of Sweet Carrot Casual Cuisine, announced the closing of their Polaris and Dublin stores. The Grandview store remains open.
  • The Old Spot, a new collaboration from the folks behind The Butcher & Grocer and La Tavola, opens today at 1099 W. First Ave. in Grandview, most recently site of Harvest Tavern.
  • The Pint House will open a new location in collaboration with Urban Meyer, titled Urban Meyer’s Pint House at Dublin’s Bridge Park. It will take the place of RAM Restaurant & Brewery, which recently closed.
  • Megan Ada, the owner of Asterisk Supper Club in Westerville, opened Ampersand Asian Supper Club last week. It’s located at 940 N. High St. in the Short North.
  • Sweetwaters Tea & Coffee opens their location at 15 E. 17th Ave. adjacent to Ohio State on Monday, June 23.
  • Tonight (June 21), the North Market’s Night Market series makes its return for the season. It takes place from 6-9 p.m. the third Friday of every month, June through October.
  • Saraga International Grocery has opened their second Columbus location at 3353 Cleveland Ave.
  • Nosh on High is coming to the former downtown Cup O Joe space, at 149 S. High St.
  • The Columbus Food & Wine Festival is today and tomorrow, June 21-22, at Battelle Riverfront Park downtown.
  • Watershed Distillery hosts the Gin Jam on Saturday, June 22 from noon to 4 p.m.
