Laura Lee, owner of Ajumama food truck

March 5, 2020

Laura Lee is one of the OG food truckers in Columbus. Her truck Ajumama debuted in 2012, serving a crave-able blend of Korean street fare and Midwestern flavors, like bulgogi cheesesteak, kimchi bratwurst, KFC (“Korean fried chicken”) biscuits. Laura’s bright blue truck makes the rounds every food truck season, and is rightfully a favorite of Columbus diners. We met up at the Food Fort, the home base for Laura’s truck, and chatted about her background in restaurants, why she went the food truck route, and the meaning behind the name “Ajumama.”
