There’s a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world – here’s the latest!

  • The big news is that Gov. DeWine announced that outdoor seating will open for bars and restaurants starting next week Friday, May 15. Indoor seating – with some restrictions still – will open on Thursday, May 21.
  • Ray Ray’s Hog Pit announced they will be opening another truck – their fourth location overall – this one parked permanently at Nocterra Brewing in Powell
  • While their Short North location will re-open next week, One Line Coffee announced that its shop in the Huntington Center downtown is closed permanently
  • Uprising Meadworks announced that they have ceased operations
  • MMELO Boutique Confections announced this week that they have closed their Vine Street cafe and pulled out of the Food Fort, but are reconfiguring into a different business model
  • Columbus Alive reports that Cafe Elena has opened at 2054 Crown Plaza Dr. in northwest Columbus

And more restaurants are re-opening for carryout:

  • Zaftig Italian Village
  • Ray Ray’s Hog Pit (Land-Grant Brewing truck)
  • Newfangled Kitchen
  • BrewDog Franklinton
  • One Line Coffee announced it will open its Short North store on Friday, May 15
  • Hot Chicken Takeover said they will share re-opening plans next week
