There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest:

  • Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ latest concept, the Northern Italian-inspired Valentina’s, opens next week Tuesday, July 18. Situated at 4595 Bridge Park Ave. in Dublin, Valentina’s will feature pizzas, pastas, steaks, a mozzarella bar, a handsome wine list and more. They’ll be open for lunch and dinner.
  • Today – Friday, July 14 – Parable Coffee’s new wine and cocktail bar Parable After Dark opens for service. An official launch party is set for July 22.
  • Masa Mexican Grill is the newest vendor to open at East Market. They’ll host a soft opening with a partial menu on Saturday, July 15 from 2-8 p.m.
  • Figlio announced this week that it will close its Upper Arlington location at 3712 Riverside Dr. on July 29. This location is in the Golden Bear Center, which is slated for demolition. Colin’s Coffee, another tenant, announced last week that they’ll close on Aug. 20. Figlio’s Dayton and Grandview locations will remain open.
  • Andrew Smith and Devoney Mills, the husband-and-wife duo behind the Roys Ave Supper Club, have launched an Indiegogo campaign to help fund their eatery, Isla, coming soon to Merion Village. They’re slated to take over part of the former Bake Me Happy spot; the front portion will be Jennings Java’s forthcoming coffee shop.
  • Nocterra Brewing announced this week that it’s launching its own food truck, dubbed Trail Magic Kitchen. There’s no timeline on its opening.
  • The team behind the shuttered Light of Seven Matchsticks will be doing a pop-up at The Bottle Shop on Monday, July 24 from 5 p.m. to midnight.
  • Business First reported that Rodos European Grill’s space in Clintonville, which it recently vacated to move to Linworth, will become home to Gyropolis starting July 22.
  • Julep in the Short North closed at the end of last month following a dispute with their landlord over unpaid rent and other issues.
  • House Taco, the eatery located in the basement of the Ohio Statehouse, announced that it’s moving to 79 S. Fourth St., former location of The Dry Mill.
  • Bonjour Cafe just opened a new location at Polaris Fashion Place this week.
  • Antiques on High just opened up reservations for a new AirBnb in German Village close to the brewery.
  • The Columbus Summer Wine Festival returns for another edition this Saturday, July 15, at the Kelley Green in Whitehall.
