Friday Food Bites: Sexton’s Pizza replaces Gant’s at Little Grand, JT’s Pizza in Dublin debuts

January 22, 2026

Happy Friday! Here’s the latest Columbus restaurant news:

  • JT’s Pizza & Pub opens its third location this weekend at Jerome Village in Dublin. The new store is located at 12066 Sycamore Trace, technically in Plain City, and will open its doors on Saturday, Jan. 24. It joins their original Linworth shop and a Grandview location that opened last year.
  • Endeavor Brewing’s Linworth coffee shop and bar Barrel & Bloom celebrates its full grand opening this weekend, Jan. 23-25. The shop, located in the former Random Precision Brewing space at 2365 W. Dublin Granville Rd., opened early last September just serving coffee, but now they’re able to offer a full bar with Endeavor beers and spirits, plus cocktails and wines.
  • Gant’s Pizza shared that they are leaving Little Grand Market, and shortly after the announcement, the market shared that Sexton’s Pizza will take their place.
  • K Vida Modern Mexican Bar is coming soon to the old Zaftig brewpub space at 119 E. Fifth Ave. in Italian Village. (Thanks to Columbus Foodletter for the tip!)
  • It’s been a big week for pizza, apparently! Chop Haus Pizza recently debuted at 1097 Worthington Woods Blvd. They’re serving pizza, subs, calzones, and a signature oxtail pie.
  • After reintroducing lunch last month, Wolf’s Ridge Brewing has brought back pizzas to their dining room and taproom downtown. They’re using the pizza oven from the bygone Tommy’s Pizza on Lane Avenue!
  • Multiple sources have reported that Louisville-based Biscuit Belly is taking over the former Hot Chicken Takeover space on a prominent corner in Grandview.
  • This week the James Beard Foundation announced its 2026 semifinalists. Dan the Baker nabbed Columbus’ sole nomination, once again for Outstanding Bakery. (Other Ohio nominees include Mallorca in Cleveland for Best Hospitality; Mike Stankovich from Longfellow in Cincinnati for Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service; Cincinnati chefs Sarah Dworak of Sudova, Hideki Harada of Kiki, and Jeffrey Harris of Nolia Kitchen for Best Chef: Great Lakes; and Vinnie Cimino of the excellent Cordelia in Cleveland for Best Chef: Great Lakes.)
  • (614) Magazine‘s Restaurant Week kicks off Jan. 26-31. Participating restaurants feature a variety of prix fixe menus throughout the week.
  • The Jinjja Korean pop-up is doing a special anime and K-Pop themed night tonight – Friday, Jan. 23 – at Station in Granville from 4:30-9 p.m.
