Chef-O-Nette

No one knows where the name comes from, but Chef-O-Nette claims to be the country's first drive-through, opened in 1955.

DK Diner

1715 West Third Ave., Grandview

DK stands for "Donut Kitchen." Go for the hearty breakfasts, stay for the sour cream old fashioneds and longjohns.

George's Linworth Diner

Jack & Benny's is the campus classic, an institution patronized by generations of Ohio State students, eager to start the day with buckeye pancakes and Gutbusters.

A larger companion location to the Schrock Road spot, this eatery offers the same great breakfast menu.

Stav's Diner

2932 E. Broad St., Near East Side

Stav’s is located along East Broad Street close to Bexley. They’re open early serving the breakfast favorites: omelets, pancakes, egg sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, hash browns.

Zorbas Diner

3415 E. Broad St., Bexley

A newer eatery on the east side, Zorbas serves up biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwiches, omelets, and more.

Nick's Picks

Stav's Diner

Stav's was a fun surprise when we first visited, a one-room diner with a long counter to one side and Stav himself whipping up corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, omelets.

Delaney's Diner

We have a lot of fond memories wrapped up in the storefront where Delaney's sits - we were regulars at the former tenant, The Best. But Delaney's is loads of fun, offering unique dishes like a breakfast casserole and something called the breakfast conewich.

Tommy's Diner

It's really hard to beat Tommy's Diner. It's family-run, friendly, loaded with retro decor. And in my opinion, they make the best Belgian waffle in the city, so perfectly golden and crispy.
