Savannah & Tybee Island

My family has long connections to Savannah and Tybee Island, so it's a place we've visited often over the years. Savannah is a beautiful historic Southern city, while Tybee is a lovely beach community. There you'll find loads of great food, historic sites, waterfront fun.

Tybee Island Food, Drink, & Attractions

The Breakfast Club: an absolute must-visit on Tybee Island, a long-running institution that has visitors lining up down the block to get in. Don't miss their signature pecan waffle.

Cockspur Island Lighthouse: historic channel lighthouse near the mouth of the Savannah River. The island and lighthouse are currently closed for visiting due to ongoing preservation efforts.

The Crab Shack: another Tybee staple, a huge complex with lots of patios, loads of seafood, and yes, a moat with alligators

Gerald's Pig & Shrimp: permanently parked trailer serving barbecue and Southern favorites

North Island Surf & Kayak: rentable kayaks, paddle boards, surf boards

Tybean Art & Coffee Bar: colorful coffee shop and art gallery, serving coffee, smoothies, breakfast

Tybee Island Light Station & Museum: tour the grounds of Tybee's iconic black and white lighthouse, then climb to the top for unprecedented views

Tybee Pier & Pavilion: concrete pavilion that's free and open daily. Great for fishing, people-watching.
