There’s a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world – here’s the latest!

  • Peruvian sandwich spot Si Senor opened a new fast casual Peruvian restaurant, Criollo, in the old Carvery space at 51 E. Gay St. downtown.
  • Last week, Somewhere in Particular Brewing opened at 5535 Dierker Rd. on the northwest side. Read my feature on it in this week’s Columbus Alive!
  • Leone’s Pizza in Salem Village closed last week. (Nooooo! That tartufo mushroom pizza!)
  • Block’s Bagels announced they’ll start a regular series of weekend pop-ups at North Market, beginning on Saturday, Nov. 4 and extending through January.
  • The Market at Flint Station holds their grand opening at 225 Park Ave. on Saturday, Oct. 27.
  • Kilwins chocolate and ice cream shop, with a place in Dublin’s Bridge Park, announced a Short North location at 662 N. High St.
  • Elia Athenian Grill opened a second location at 1566 N. High St. in the Gateway this week.
  • The Daily Growler announced they’ll be opening a location inside the Polaris Fashion Place food court.
  • A sixth central Ohio location of Zoup! Eatery will open this December at 4971 Tuttle Crossing Blvd.
  • North High Brewing announced they’re partnering with the Columbus Bluejackets, producing the North High Stick, an amber lager sold to support the CBJ’s Movember fundraiser.
  • The Roosevelt Coffeehouse announced they’re bringing a second location to the new Gravity development in Franklinton. They recently opened their own roastery, and announced they’ll open a shop inside the forthcoming Olentangy River Brewing Company in Lewis Center.
  • The Brekkie Shack hosts their grand opening on Tuesday, Oct. 30 starting at 7 a.m.
  • Wild Ohio Brewing announced they’ll be opening a taproom at 2025 S. High St.
  • The Ohio Division of Liquor Control will open their temporary liquor clearance store, Last Call, for a second weekend Oct. 25-27 at the old Giant Eagle space at 777 Neil Ave. in Victorian Village.
  • Tacos Fogoncito is in the process of moving from their location on Hamilton Road to 1909 SR 256 in Reynoldsburg, and will re-open soon.
  • The Hills Downtown hosts their last Bloody Mary Bacon Brunch of the season tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon.
  • Pibil Columbus is serving a special three-course Mexican brunch at 1400 Food Lab on Saturday, Oct. 27. Get a look at the menu and get tickets here.
