January 10, 2020

There’s a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world – here’s the latest!

  • Owner Jonas Laughlin announced last weekend that his Short North shop, Laughlin’s Bakery, would close immediately, citing a slow Christmas season and “not-great” sales.
  • After 20 years in business, the Brazenhead in Dublin closed this week. But the space won’t sit empty for long. Drink Up Columbus reports that North High Brewing is partnering with COHatch co-working spaces to create a brewpub in the building. The Brazenhead in Grandview remains open.
  • A coffee shop called Cielo Cafe is set to open on Feb. 1 at 1762 N. High St. near Ohio State’s campus.
  • Zaftig Brewing’s Italian Village brewpub is introducing brunch on Saturday, Jan. 11
