There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest:
- The much-loved Spaghetti Warehouse, which had to move from its long-time warehouse home downtown (due to a collapsing ceiling), officially reopens in its new spot at 150 S. High St. on Thursday, Nov. 30. That site has been empty for a long time, and was once home to De Novo.
- Si Señor made its return to downtown last weekend when it opened in the former Zoup space at 155 W. Nationwide Blvd. in the Arena District. Si Senor originally started at 72 E. Lynn St. behind the Rhodes Tower, before moving to Fifth Avenue in Grandview.
- Last week MMELO Boutique Confections opened a pop-up retail shop at 3951 Easton Square Place E. at Easton (in the former Fay’s Crepes space next to Brio).
- The Grand Tavern is now open at 1111 W. First Ave. in Grandview. It’s part of the former Marshall’s space, half of which became Delaney’s Diner.
- Thanks to some helpful followers on Facebook, I learned that Dan’s Drive-In on the South Side is now Tio’s Diner.
- Guy Fieri returns home to Columbus (we can say that, right? He was born here.) June 1-2, 2024 with the Flavortown Fest on the grounds of CAS (at Ackerman and Olentangy River Road).
- Columbus Independents, the newly formed Columbus restaurant group, is now offering gift cards for sale.
